Government Fails to Control Sugar Prices, Mafia Profiting ,Sugar prices continue to rise, reaching up to Rs. 165 per kg in various cities. Fresh statistics on sugar prices across different cities have been released.
Residents of Islamabad and Peshawar are forced to buy the most expensive sugar, with prices recorded Rs. 165 per kg, according to the Bureau of Statistics.


In other cities, sugar prices have been recorded at Rs. 160 per kg. In Rawalpindi, Larkana, and Karachi, sugar is available at Rs. 160 per kg. In Lahore, Multan, and Quetta, the price is up to Rs. 155 per kg. Sialkot reports sugar at Rs. 158 per kg, while in Faisalabad, it’s Rs. 155 per kg. Khuzdar and Bannu also see sugar prices reaching Rs. 155–158 per kg. In Hyderabad and Sukkur, sugar is relatively cheaper at Rs. 150 per kg. The national average price of sugar now stands at Rs. 155.27 per kg, according to the Bureau of Statistics.
