Parks and Horticulture Authority Rawalpindi is taking the lead in providing health-enhancing and sports activities to the youth along with the beautification and Clean and Green Mission of the city,
PHA organizes DG PHA Ramadan Cricket Cup 2025, the opening ceremony of the tournament was held at Pothohar Ground, NA-52.
DG PHA Ahmed Hassan Ranjha was the chief guest of the ceremony, the opening ceremony began on Thursday night after Isha prayers, Ahmed Hassan Ranjha inaugurated the tournament.
Other distinguished guests included officers from various departments, former cricketer Masood Anwar and people from other walks of life.
16 teams are participating in the DG PHA Ramadan Cricket Cup, 4 pools have been formed, the teams include teams from different departments and professional cricket clubs,
PHA will organize this tournament every year, along with the Clean and Green Mission, Parks and Horticulture Authority Rawalpindi is also playing an important role in providing sports activities to the youth,
The organization of the tournament has been ensured by sponsors instead of the government, no money has been spent from the government treasury,
The opening ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran at the Pothohar Ground, later Naat Rasool Maqbool (peace be upon him) was also presented,
The special guest of the ceremony, DG PHA Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, inaugurated the tournament by cutting the ribbon, after which the beautiful trophy of the tournament was also unveiled,
Speaking at the ceremony, former Test cricketer Masood Anwar said that providing sports activities for the youth of Rawalpindi is a good thing for PHA. It is an initiative, youth can be developed in the best way by providing them with health facilities and sports opportunities, DG PHA deserves congratulations for organizing the best tournament.
DGP PHA Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, while addressing the ceremony, said that PHA is trying to provide the people of Rawalpindi with a beautiful and clean environment as well as sports opportunities, we want to serve the people of Rawalpindi in the best way, we will provide the people of Rawalpindi with the best opportunity to play and watch sports, the aim of organizing the event in Ramadan was to engage the youth, he added that sports facilities are also being provided in the parks, we hope that the people will encourage PHA to organize such activities, I congratulate the organizers for organizing the magnificent tournament,
