CDA and NUST Launch Computer-Based Merit-Recruitment Exams Today Under MoU which will continue till May 19.

In line with the direction of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Director General Civil Defence Muhammad Ali Randhawa the merit-based and transparent recruitment process for various departments of CDA has commenced under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CDA and the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) today. The test for recruitment process will continue until May 19.

In this Regard, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa paid a surprise visit to the computer-based examination center at NUST and thoroughly reviewed the examination arrangements. CDA Member Admin, Member Estate, DG Human Resource Development, DG Resources and other relevant officers accompanied during the visit.

Chairman CDA, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and DG Civil Defence Muhammad Ali Randhawa emphasized that CDA’s administration is committed to ensuring that the recruitment process is entirely transparent, merit-based, and conducted through modern technology. The agreement with NUST marks a significant step in this direction where candidates eligibility and recruitment are being assessed via a computerized testing system. This system will eliminate the culture of reference and prioritize merit and competence.

Chairman CDA further stated that CDA requires educated, skilled and technologically aware individuals and this testing system will ensure that the institution acquires the best workforce.

Under the agreement between CDA and NUST, all examinations are being conducted via a computer-based system, with invigilation and result compilation fully automated and transparent. This system guarantees merit at every stage from screening applications to final selection without any human interference.

The three-day testing series, running from May 17 to May 19 at NUST University, will see the participation of approximately 3,823 candidates. Three sessions are being held daily, with a capacity of 485 candidates per session. Today, the first session saw 297 candidates, while 312 appeared in the second session. A large turnout is also expected in the third and final session.

These tests are being conducted under the agreement between CDA and NUST to ensure a transparent and merit-based recruitment process.

During his visit, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa discussed the transparency of the testing process with the NUST examination staff and commended NUST’s recruitment standards. He stressed that all necessary arrangements at examination centers must be fully transparent and efficient to provide equal opportunities to all candidates.

He added that the collaboration between CDA and NUST will continue in the future, with the institution benefiting from advanced research and training programs to enhance performance. He expressed hope that this partnership would not only bring talented individuals to CDA but also contribute positively to national development.

On this occasion, NUST’s recruitment administration assured CDA of full compliance with transparency and merit principles to ensure the recruitment process’s success. They stated that NUST’s modern examination system would guarantee that only the most capable individuals join CDA, playing a pivotal role in the institution’s and the country’s progress.
