Firing Over Refused Friendship Request in Faisalabad Restaurant Leaves One Dead, One Injured

Faisalabad (Special Reporter) — At the Khayam Kinara Restaurant located on Kanal Road near D-Type Colony police station area, a violent incident took place when an employee opened fire on two female co-workers over a rejected friendship proposal. One woman was killed on the spot, while another was critically injured.

According to police reports, Abdul Hamid filed a complaint stating that Ahmed Ali, a resident of Rasoolpur and a waiter at Khayam Kinara Restaurant, was insisting on befriending a female employee working at the same restaurant. On the night of the incident, as the employees were leaving after their shift, two motorcycle-riding suspects, Ahmed and Fahad—both also employed at Khayam Kinara—stopped them on Dogran Road. The suspects fired a pistol, wounding one female employee identified only as (M) and killing another identified as (A) at the scene.

Investigation is ongoing, with Sub-Inspector Aslam recording statements from the restaurant owner and other employees. Police have confirmed that both accused are currently on remand and assured that legal proceedings will continue according to the law.

Meanwhile, in an expression of solidarity and condolences, Shaharyar, son of former Federal Minister Rana Sanaullah, visited the victim’s family, promising that justice would be served.
