A high-level meeting was held at the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Headquarters under the chairmanship of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The meeting was attended by CDA Member Administration and Estate Talat Mahmood, Member Planning Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch, Member Finance, Tahir Naeem,
DG Resources, DG Building Control and Housing, Deputy DG Enforcement, Director DMA and other senior officers.

In line with the direction of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman CDA and under the leadership of Chief Commissioner Islamabad detailed discussions on the development, beautification and construction of shopping and sports complexes in the Diplomatic Enclave was made. The meeting reviewed improvements in road infrastructure, landscaping and horticulture work, eco-friendly tree plantation, efficient parking arrangements, installation of modern and beautiful LED lighting, and further strengthening security measures to make them foolproof.

The meeting also deliberated on enhancing the beauty of the Diplomatic Enclave, installing CCTV cameras at entry, exits points, integrating the security system with the Safe City System and further reinforcing the effective monitoring mechanism.

Chairman CDA directed the allocation of space for a sports complex along with cycling track to promote sports activities in the Diplomatic Enclave and instructed immediate work on its construction. Similarly, he directed the development of a state-of-the-art event hall, food courts and various kiosks equipped with modern facilities.

Chairman CDA emphasized the need for beautiful landscaping and eco-friendly indigenous tree plantation along the Diplomatic Enclave’s avenues to transform it into the most beautiful part of Islamabad.

Chairman CDA directed that the Diplomatic Enclave’s uplift would enhance the capital’s beauty and ordered the acceleration of work while ensuring quality standards at all times. He affirmed that all available resources are being utilized to make Islamabad a beautiful, well-planned, and world-class city.
