Islamabad’s Development to Be Accelerated Without Compromising on Quality: CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa

An important meeting was held at the CDA Headquarters under the chairmanship of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The meeting was attended by CDA Member Administration and Estate Talat Mahmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, Member Planning Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon, DG Resources CDA, DC CDA and other senior officers.

During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted regarding the progress of development works in Sector C-14, C-15, C-16, E-12, I-12,
Park Enclave, Shaheen Chowk, Faizabad Interchange, and Kashmir Chowk.

Chairman CDA instructed that the development and construction work in Islamabad, particularly in the sectors, should not only be expedited but also ensure no compromise on quality and standards of construction work.

Chairman CDA directed that in sectors where development work is ongoing, the relevant CDA directorates, to especially the DC CDA, should establish camp offices along with their staff to help resolve public issues at their doorstep. Additionally, all public concerns in camp offices should be addressed promptly and transparently, in accordance with the requirements of law and justice. He further emphasized the need for modern and aesthetically pleasing lighting and improved road infrastructure in all new sectors.

Chairman CDA instructed the widening of main roads in all new sectors and the removal of all encroachments and illegal constructions as per the law. He also directed the acceleration of development work and installation of lights in Park Enclave.

Chairman CDA stressed that all obstacles hindering development projects in CDA sectors must be removed on a priority basis to ensure timely completion.

Chairman CDA commended the performance of all relevant wings for the outstanding success of CDA’s commercial plots and shops. He directed the Finance Wing to allocate sufficient funds for development projects.

Chairman CDA further instructed that Diplomatic Enclave should be upgraded to international standards, in addition to its uplift.
