Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi met with the U.S. Charge d’Affaires, Ms. Natalie A. Baker, at the U.S. Embassy today. The meeting focused on strengthening Pakistan–U.S. relations, enhancing bilateral cooperation, and exploring investment opportunities in Pakistan Railways.

Minister Abbasi highlighted that Pakistan Railways is the connecting chain of all four provinces and emphasized that the country’s economy cannot progress without investment in the railway sector. He underscored that investment in railways is the key to national development and that the government is committed to a comprehensive strategy for modernizing the sector.
Ms. Natalie A. Baker reiterated that the United States is committed to supporting Pakistan in its modern railway projects and expressed optimism about joint collaboration in this area.
The upcoming United Nations visit was also discussed during the meeting, along with other matters of mutual interest. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening Pakistan–U.S. cooperation and advancing developmental initiatives.
This meeting is being regarded as a positive step towards opening a new chapter of partnership between Pakistan and the United States.
