Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa Launches “Pak ID” App and Door-to-Door Survey Initiative to Enhance Security and Planning in Islamabad

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, regarding the introduction of a door-to-door survey and a mobile application aimed at ensuring the safety, protection of lives and property of Islamabad’s citizens and implementing optimal security measures. The meeting was attended by CDA Member Administration and Estate Talat Mahmood, Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch, DIG Islamabad Police Jawad Tariq, representatives from the Ministry of Interior, District Administration, NADRA, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics and other senior officers.

During the meeting, NADRA provided a briefing on the “Pak ID” app, explaining that through this app, citizens will be able to register themselves from home with minimal data entry fields and a user-friendly process in a short time. Additionally, a door-to-door survey will be initiated in the city to create a database based on geo tagging, capturing accurate location/residence and other details of every citizen. The scope of this survey will extend not only to urban but also to rural areas and informal settlements.

The primary objective of this survey is to create a comprehensive database for all areas of the capital city, Islamabad, which will serve as a foundation for effective planning and development works in the future alongside ensuring citizens safety and security.

Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that the app be made more user-friendly and integrated with other existing applications. It will include an automated data collection feature, allowing citizens to input their information themselves making the data collection process faster and more efficient.

The meeting was informed that in addition to the Pak ID app, a door-to-door survey would also be conducted for the convenience of citizens. The purpose of this survey is to improve security, and law and order in the city and to provide quality facilities to citizens by conducting a comprehensive door-to-door survey across the city.

It was decided during the meeting that in this regard, complete details of all family members, tenants, relatives and foreign nationals would be collected to enhance security in the city. For high-quality imagery required for the door-to-door survey, assistance will also be sought from SUPARCO.

The meeting also decided that a comprehensive awareness campaign would be launched to encourage maximum citizens to register through this app.

Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that the “Pak ID” app and the door-to-door survey would assist the district administration and other institutions in effective planning and provision. He emphasized that no effort would be spared to ensure peace and safety of the citizens of the Federal Capital, Islamabad and all necessary resources would be utilized to enable citizens to lead their lives in a peaceful environment.
