Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, held a detailed meeting with the district administration at Circuit House Mansehra to assess the ongoing situation and relief efforts following recent floods in the region.

Accompanied by his district team, the minister discussed the extent of the damage caused by the flooding and evaluated the administration’s efforts for relief and rehabilitation. The meeting focused on the restoration of essential services and support to affected communities.

Sardar Muhammad Yousaf directed the local authorities to immediately begin restoration of link roads and water supply schemes to ensure timely relief for the affected population. He emphasized the urgency of swift action, noting that delays in aid are unacceptable.

Criticizing the provincial government’s sluggish response, the federal minister questioned the delay in relief operations despite the availability of resources. “If the provincial government has sufficient resources, why are relief activities still progressing so slowly?” he asked.

He reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to support the flood-affected population, stating, “We are ready to cooperate without discrimination to ensure the swift recovery and rehabilitation of those affected.”

The minister urged all relevant departments to coordinate efforts and prioritize the needs of the flood victims to restore normalcy as quickly as possible.
