Deputy PM Ishaq Dar Meets Bangladeshi FM Adviser at OIC Summit, Reaffirms Support for Palestine and Bilateral Cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar met with Bangladesh’s Foreign Affairs Adviser, Mohammad Touhid Hossain, on the sidelines of the 21st Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.

In a message shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Ishaq Dar noted that the two had previously held detailed discussions during his recent visit to Bangladesh. Their latest meeting focused on the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Palestine, where both sides reiterated strong solidarity with the just cause of the Palestinian people.

They emphasized the urgent need for unhindered humanitarian access, a permanent ceasefire, and a two-state solution to achieve sustainable peace in the region.

The two leaders also acknowledged the positive momentum in Pakistan-Bangladesh relations and expressed hope for greater cooperation across multiple sectors. They agreed to maintain close collaboration to strengthen bilateral ties and promote regional cooperation, aiming for shared prosperity and development.
