The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested two operatives of an international drug smuggling network at Sialkot Airport, according to a statement released by the ANF spokesperson on Saturday.
One of the suspects, who was set to travel to Saudi Arabia for Umrah, was caught with 40 cocaine-filled capsules concealed in his stomach. The capsules contained a total of 230 grams of cocaine.
Following his arrest, the accused identified an accomplice who was acting as a facilitator. The second suspect was promptly arrested from the airport parking area.
The ANF emphasized its commitment to combating the trafficking of narcotics abroad, operating under a strict zero-tolerance policy. The force continues to utilize advanced technology and intelligence-based operations to dismantle drug smuggling networks at both national and international levels.
