Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, praised the Government of Saudi Arabia and Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malki for their sincere, brotherly, and effective role during the recent tensions between Pakistan and India. He emphasized that Saudi Arabia has always stood by Pakistan in both war and peace.
According to the Ministry of Interior, Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Saudi Embassy in Islamabad’s Diplomatic Enclave on Saturday, where he was warmly received by the Saudi ambassador.
During the meeting, Minister Naqvi expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom for its unwavering support during critical times, stating that Saudi Arabia has consistently upheld its brotherly ties with Pakistan under all circumstances.
He also briefed the Saudi envoy about Pakistan’s ongoing crackdown against organized begging networks, particularly those operating abroad, including in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The minister affirmed Pakistan’s zero-tolerance policy towards such groups, aimed at preserving the country’s image and ensuring the protection of Pakistani workers in Saudi Arabia.
Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki lauded the efforts of the Interior Minister and reiterated that Saudi Arabia regards Pakistan as a brotherly and friendly nation. He emphasized Riyadh’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Islamabad across multiple sectors.
