Rawalpindi — In line with the vision of Inspector General Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar, the 34th batch of the Friends of Police Internship Program successfully concluded at the Rawalpindi Police Lines Headquarters. The two-week internship saw participation from students of various educational institutions, offering them an in-depth understanding of police work and operations across multiple departments.

During the program, senior police officers delivered lectures covering various aspects of policing, including law enforcement, crime prevention, traffic management, and community policing. The interns were also briefed on the functioning of police stations, police service centers, front desks, police mobile applications, legal and judicial procedures, and special initiative police stations.
Additionally, students visited key police facilities such as the Command and Control Room, Traffic Headquarters, Police Service Center at Liaqat Bagh, Legal Branch, and Police Lines Headquarters to gain practical exposure to police operations.
The program aims to involve youth in police awareness campaigns and encourages their active participation in improving policing services. It emphasizes the important role young people can play in enhancing service delivery, crime control, drug prevention, and resolving societal issues through effective community policing.
At the closing ceremony, DSP CPO Nadeem Malik distributed certificates among the participating students, congratulating them on their successful completion of the internship. The initiative reflects the Punjab Police’s commitment to fostering stronger ties with the community and empowering the younger generation to contribute positively to public safety.
