Students Visit Traffic Headquarters Under Punjab IG’s Friends of Police and Youth Internship Program

Under the directive of Inspector General of Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar, students participating in the Friends of Police and Youth Internship Program visited the Traffic Headquarters in Rawalpindi. The visit aimed to familiarize students with the workings of the traffic police and promote cooperation between the police and the community.

Inspector Faisal Gilani, Incharge of the Traffic Education Wing, guided the students through various branches of the Traffic Headquarters, providing a detailed briefing on administrative and operational functions. The students also had the opportunity to inspect different departments and praised the services offered by the traffic police to the public.

Chief Traffic Officer Rawalpindi, Farhan Aslam, highlighted the importance of the Friends of Police program, emphasizing that it allows citizens, especially students, to actively participate in police initiatives through internships. He stated that the program’s main goal is to build a strong bond of trust between the police and the community, thereby enhancing cooperation and mutual understanding.

Farhan Aslam further explained that the program will also serve as a platform to showcase the positive efforts of the police to the public. He stressed that the police and the citizens are one, and it is a collective responsibility to keep roads safe and ensure smooth traffic flow. He encouraged citizens to join the Friends of Police program to help improve the overall traffic system and public safety.

The visit concluded with students expressing appreciation for the police’s efforts and the opportunity to learn about the crucial role of traffic management in ensuring public safety.
