President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, paid rich tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his 77th death anniversary, emphasizing that Jinnah gave the nation its identity, dignity, and freedom. In a statement issued by the President’s Office Press Wing, Zardari highlighted that Quaid-e-Azam’s vision was of a Pakistan based on democracy, justice, equality, and tolerance, and that the Two-Nation Theory continues to hold true today.
President Zardari pointed out that the treatment of minorities in India serves as evidence of the validity of the Two-Nation Theory. He described the creation of Pakistan as a historic and inevitable decision and stressed the need to move forward by adhering to the principles laid down by the Quaid.
He called for empowering Pakistani youth with opportunities, granting women their rightful authority, and providing protection to minorities. Zardari underlined that only through democracy and the rule of law can a bright future be ensured for Pakistan.
The President said that the guidance of Quaid-e-Azam remains a beacon for the nation, with unity, faith, and sacrifice forming the path forward. He expressed confidence in Pakistan’s ability to overcome challenges and fulfill the Quaid’s dream of a developed, prosperous, and strong Pakistan.
