Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has returned to Pakistan after completing a one-day official visit to Qatar. According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing on Thursday, the Prime Minister held a high-level meeting in Doha with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the recent unprovoked Israeli aggression against Doha, calling it a blatant violation of international law. He expressed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Emir and the people of Qatar in the face of these hostile actions.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the deep-rooted and historic brotherly ties between Pakistan and Qatar, grounded in shared religion, cultural values, and mutual respect. He stated that Pakistan has always stood by Qatar in times of difficulty and will continue to do so.
The leaders also held consultations on regional peace and stability, discussing the wider implications of Israel’s unprovoked aggression across various countries in the region and the urgent need to counter continued hostilities.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.
