Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Departs for One-Day Visit to Qatar to Show Solidarity Amid Israeli Aggression

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has departed for a one-day visit to Doha, Qatar, to express solidarity with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Qatari royal family, and the people of Qatar in light of recent Israeli aggression against the country.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing on Thursday, the Prime Minister is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.

During his visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will meet with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha. He will convey Pakistan’s strong condemnation of the unprovoked Israeli attacks on Doha, which he termed as a blatant violation of international laws and norms.

Highlighting the deep-rooted, historical, and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Qatar—based on shared religion and values—the Prime Minister will reiterate Pakistan’s unwavering support for Qatar during challenging times. He will assure the Qatari leadership that Pakistan has always stood by Qatar and will continue to do so in the future.

The meeting will also include discussions on the broader regional situation, particularly Israel’s continued aggression against various countries in the region. Both sides are expected to deliberate on joint efforts for establishing peace and stability in the region.
