President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, arrived in Chengdu, China, on Friday, marking the beginning of his official visit to the country.
Upon his arrival at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, President Zardari was warmly received by Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong and Vice Governor of Sichuan Province Huang Ruexue. Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, and China’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, were also present to welcome the President.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency’s Press Wing, President Zardari is scheduled to hold meetings with the Chinese leadership and senior officials during his stay. These meetings will focus on further strengthening Pakistan-China bilateral relations, enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors, and advancing mutual goals under the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
The visit is expected to deepen diplomatic, economic, and strategic ties between the two long-standing allies.
