In two separate intelligence-based operations conducted between September 10 and 13 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistani security forces eliminated 35 terrorists linked to the Indian-sponsored proxy group, Khawarij, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The first operation took place in Bajaur district, where security forces acted swiftly on intelligence reports about the presence of militants. During the intense exchange of fire, 22 Indian-backed Khawarij terrorists were killed. In another fierce encounter in South Waziristan, 13 more terrorists were neutralized.

Tragically, 12 brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom while heroically fighting in the South Waziristan operation.

The ISPR confirmed that the killed terrorists were involved in numerous terrorist activities in the region. A significant cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered during the operations. Intelligence reports have further confirmed the involvement of Afghan nationals in these acts of terrorism.

The use of Afghan soil by Khawarij terrorists against Pakistan remains a serious concern. The ISPR emphasized that Pakistan expects the interim Afghan government to fulfill its responsibilities by preventing the use of its territory for terrorist activities against Pakistan.

Clean-up operations are currently underway to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored terrorists in the area. The ISPR reiterated that Pakistan’s security forces remain fully committed to eradicating the scourge of Indian-backed terrorism from the country.

“The sacrifices of our brave sons only strengthen our resolve in this mission,” the statement concluded.
