BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid Inaugurates Welfare Clinic and Lab in Peshawar

Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, inaugurated a welfare clinic and diagnostic laboratory established by the well-known Syedzada Foundation in the Jogiwara area of Peshawar.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent figures including Syedzada Foundation Chairman Syed Zahid Hussain Shah, Syed Zahir Ali Shah, Syed Mehr Ali Shah, Syed Aitzaz Hussain Shah, and other notable community members.

Speaking at the event, Senator Rubina Khalid praised Syed Zahid Hussain Shah and the Syedzada Foundation for their philanthropic initiative, emphasizing that the clinic and lab would greatly improve access to healthcare for underprivileged families in the area.

She highlighted that the mission of the Benazir Income Support Programme is also centered on supporting vulnerable communities across Pakistan. “In addition to government efforts, private welfare organizations are playing a vital role in extending care and support to the needy,” she said.

The initiative was commended as a strong example of community-driven development and public-private collaboration in the health sector.
