Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, has arrived in Doha, Qatar, on a one-day official visit to attend the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit convened to discuss the escalating humanitarian crisis in Palestine and recent Israeli airstrikes on Doha.
Upon arrival at Doha International Airport, the Prime Minister and his high-level delegation were warmly received by Qatar’s Minister of Culture, Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office on Monday, the emergency summit is being held to deliberate on the deteriorating human rights situation in Palestine and Israel’s aggressive actions in the region, including the recent aerial assault on the Qatari capital.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi.
The official statement emphasized Pakistan’s deep commitment to its relationship with Qatar and strongly condemned the Israeli aggression against Qatar and other regional nations. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit on September 11, 2025, underscored Pakistan’s unwavering support for Qatar’s sovereignty and its dedication to promoting peace and stability in the Middle East.
The participation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other Muslim world leaders in the Doha emergency summit on September 15 demonstrates a unified stance of the Muslim Ummah and reflects a shared commitment to regional peace and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
