Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif departed for New York from London on Monday to participate in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing, the Premier was seen off at Luton Airport by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, along with members of the diplomatic staff.
During his visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly, where he is expected to highlight Pakistan’s stance on key global and regional issues, including climate change, regional peace, economic development, and Palestinian and Kashmiri causes.
The Prime Minister is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders on the sidelines of the UNGA session, aiming to strengthen diplomatic, economic, and strategic ties.
This visit underscores Pakistan’s commitment to multilateralism and its active engagement with the international community on pressing global challenges.
