Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Lithuania’s Acting Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday, the two leaders discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations, promote trade through business delegations, and deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Both sides welcomed the signing of the Convention on the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Tax Evasion between Pakistan and Lithuania. They expressed hope that the agreement would pave the way for increased economic engagement and create new opportunities for investment and collaboration.
The meeting reflected a shared commitment to expanding diplomatic and economic ties between Pakistan and Lithuania.
