General Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Haji Mohammad bin Haji Nizam, Chief of Defence Forces of Malaysia, met with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza at the Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi during his official visit to Pakistan.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting included a comprehensive discussion on global and regional security dynamics. Both military leaders emphasized the importance of exploring new avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of defence and security.
The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Pakistan-Malaysia military ties, especially in light of the evolving regional security environment.
The visiting dignitary praised the professionalism of Pakistan’s Armed Forces, their successful counter-terrorism efforts, and their continued contributions to regional peace and stability.
Earlier, upon his arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters, General Mohammad Nizam was presented with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of Pakistan’s tri-services.
