Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held warm and friendly meetings with Austrian Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer and Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office on Wednesday, the Prime Minister conversed with both leaders in their native languages — German and Arabic — which added a personal and cordial tone to the meetings.
During his conversation in German with the Austrian Chancellor, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif fondly recalled his visit to Austria during the 1980s, sharing memories and expressing appreciation for the country’s culture and people.
In his meeting with the Kuwaiti Crown Prince, the Prime Minister engaged in Arabic, highlighting the deep-rooted and long-standing friendship between Pakistan and Kuwait. He described the bilateral relationship as eternal and unwavering, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with the Gulf nation.
Both interactions were marked by mutual respect, cultural affinity, and a shared desire to enhance cooperation in various fields.
