Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, paid an official visit to Punjab University, Lahore, where he was warmly welcomed by students and faculty members.
During his visit, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif held a special interactive session with students, responding to their questions and discussing key issues related to national security, disinformation, and the role of youth in defending Pakistan. The students expressed their unwavering resolve to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Pakistan Army in safeguarding the country.
The DG ISPR also met with the university’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Muhammad, along with faculty members. The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration between academia and the military in promoting national unity and countering misinformation.
Participants paid tribute to the Pakistan Army for its successful operations and efforts in defending the homeland, particularly in the context of recent tensions with India. They emphasized that the nation’s educators and youth remain steadfast in their support for the armed forces.
Students and faculty alike appreciated the clarity provided during the session regarding fake news and disinformation campaigns targeting national institutions. They highlighted the importance of such engagements in dispelling doubts and bridging the communication gap between the military and the younger generation.
