Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to working alongside brotherly nations and the United States to advance shared goals and support a just and lasting peace for the Palestinian people.
In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the leaders of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Türkiye, and Indonesia for their collaborative efforts.
He noted that these nations’ coordinated diplomacy—before and after high-level meetings, including engagements with U.S. President Donald J. Trump—played a vital role in reaching a joint statement during the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
“We appreciate President Trump and his team’s focused engagement with Arab and Islamic leaders to push for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, ensure unrestricted humanitarian aid, and pave the way toward peace and reconstruction,” Dar said.
He reiterated that Pakistan is fully committed to furthering these shared objectives and will continue to work closely with its allies and the U.S. to support the rights of the Palestinian people and contribute to long-term peace in the region.
