U.S. President Donald Trump has lauded the efforts of the Field Marshal in achieving a ceasefire, calling the praise for him “an honor.” Speaking to the media at the White House, President Trump emphasized that the U.S. is awaiting Hamas’s response to a peace proposal, giving the group three to four days to either accept or reject the offer.
Trump stated, “Israel and Arab leaders have already approved our peace proposals. If Hamas refuses to accept these proposals, it will lead to a very unfortunate outcome.” He urged for dialogue on the peace plan, stressing that Hamas should agree to the proposal to bring stability to the region.
Highlighting widespread support, Trump said, “Israel, Arab, and Muslim countries have all backed the peace plan. Now, Hamas must either accept the plan or face confrontation with Israel. The time has come to make a choice.”
In a separate reference to the ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India, President Trump mentioned that seven fighter jets were downed during the conflict. He also revealed that he recently met with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. Trump praised Field Marshal Munir as a significant figure, saying, “He has saved millions of lives, and I am proud of what he said about me.”
The U.S. President’s remarks come amid heightened efforts to stabilize the Middle East following recent escalations, as he continues to push for a negotiated peace settlement in the region.
