Pakistan, Kazakhstan to Boost Cooperation in IT and Artificial Intelligence: Federal IT Minister Shaza Fatima

Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, has emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Kazakhstan in the fields of Information Technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Speaking at an event on Tuesday focused on shaping a shared future and enhancing Pakistan-Kazakhstan relations, the Minister stated that Pakistan is making dedicated efforts to promote digital payment systems and improve digital governance across the country.

She highlighted that both countries share strong religious and cultural ties and that vast opportunities exist for expanding collaboration in the IT sector. Under the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, she said, the government is actively working towards building a “Digital Pakistan” with a strong focus on e-governance initiatives.

Shaza Fatima further noted that an e-office system has been introduced in government institutions to streamline operations and enhance transparency. She added that efforts are ongoing around the clock to advance digital payment infrastructure nationwide.
