PM Shehbaz Sharif Expresses Satisfaction Over Resolution of AJK Issues Through Dialogue

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the peaceful resolution of issues in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) through dialogue, assuring that all concerns of the Kashmiri people will be addressed. He emphasized that the federal government remains committed to resolving the challenges faced by the people of AJK and will continue to take steps for their welfare and development.

The Prime Minister made these remarks during a meeting with members of the government’s negotiation committee on Wednesday, following the successful conclusion of talks in AJK. According to a statement from the PM Office’s media wing, the meeting was attended by Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Adviser to the PM Rana Sanaullah, Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Ahsan Iqbal, and Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the efforts of the negotiation committee for resolving the situation in AJK amicably. He also praised the Joint Action Committee for demonstrating maturity and prioritizing the prosperity of Kashmir.

He stated that all matters were resolved in a cordial manner and reiterated that the government will take steps to address the legitimate concerns of the people of AJK. “Public welfare and peace are our top priorities. We will continue to serve the people of Azad Kashmir,” the Prime Minister said.

Shehbaz Sharif further added that his government has always stood as a guardian of the rights of the Kashmiri people and will continue to do so in the future. He reaffirmed the government’s longstanding commitment to addressing the issues of AJK on a priority basis.

He concluded by assuring that development efforts will align with the aspirations of the people of Kashmir, aiming to bring lasting prosperity and progress to the region.
