Security forces successfully eliminated seven India-backed Khawarij militants during an intelligence-based operation in the Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Thursday. The operation, conducted on October 8, was launched based on credible intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists linked to the Indian-sponsored proxy network of Khawarij.

According to ISPR, during the intense exchange of fire, 30-year-old Major Sibtain Haider from Quetta embraced martyrdom after fighting valiantly on the frontline.

The operation led to the recovery of weapons and ammunition from the slain militants. These terrorists were reportedly involved in multiple attacks against security forces, law enforcement agencies, and had a history of killing innocent civilians.

In the aftermath of the operation, a sanitization process is underway in the region to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining India-backed militants in the area.

ISPR reaffirmed the unwavering resolve of Pakistan’s security forces to root out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism. “The sacrifices of our brave sons like Major Sibtain Haider only strengthen our determination to secure the nation,” the statement concluded.
