A review meeting was held on Friday at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, chaired by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, to assess the progress of the Private Hajj Scheme 2026. The meeting was attended by officials from Dependent Hajj Companies (DHCs) and HOPE Central and Zonal leadership.
During the briefing, it was revealed that so far, bookings for only 40,000 pilgrims have been completed under the private Hajj scheme, despite a quota allocation of 60,000 pilgrims. According to the Hajj Policy 2026 approved by the Federal Cabinet, registration for private pilgrims must be completed by October 17.
Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf directed all DHCs to finalize the booking of the remaining 20,000 private pilgrims within the next 7 days. He also instructed them to launch an awareness campaign to encourage and facilitate registrations in order to meet the deadline.
The minister emphasized the importance of adhering to the approved schedule to ensure smooth arrangements for all private pilgrims and to avoid any last-minute complications.
