Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a police training center in Dera Ismail Khan, praising the bravery of police personnel who thwarted the assault by sacrificing their lives.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior on Saturday, Minister Naqvi paid glowing tribute to the seven police officers who embraced martyrdom while bravely resisting the attack by Khariji (extremist) terrorists.
Offering heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs, the Interior Minister expressed his deep sympathy and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured personnel.
Minister Naqvi commended the police force for neutralizing three of the attackers, saying:
“The terrorists were sent to hell thanks to the courage and timely response of our brave police officers.”
He further stated:
“The police not only confronted the terrorists with great valor but also successfully foiled their sinister designs.”
Highlighting the role of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police in the ongoing fight against terrorism, he added:
“Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have made unparalleled sacrifices in the war against terror. The entire nation salutes their courage and dedication.”
The attack in Dera Ismail Khan is a grim reminder of the persistent threats posed by extremist elements. However, the response by the police underlines their resilience and commitment to protecting the country at all costs.
