Following the announcement of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, Palestinians have resumed their long journey back to their lands in northern Gaza. According to a Qatari news outlet, the Israeli military has withdrawn its forces to agreed positions as per the ceasefire pact with Hamas.
The international Samood Flotilla reported that five of its members, who were attempting to deliver aid to Gaza by sea, were released after nearly 10 days in Israeli custody. Their vessels had been intercepted unlawfully by Israeli forces in international waters.
According to Wafa News Agency, hospitals across Gaza have received nearly 155 Palestinian bodies, including 135 recovered from under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
With Israeli airstrikes halted and troops pulled back from several areas of Gaza, aid teams are now gaining access to devastated buildings to retrieve the bodies of those killed in the attacks. Medical sources reported that 19 people were killed in Israeli air raids on Friday, while one more died due to prior injuries.
Meanwhile, in southern Lebanon’s Sidon district, at least one person was killed and two others injured in an Israeli attack on the village of al-Najariya. Fire brigades rushed to the scene to control the ensuing fire, while the al-Masila road was closed due to severe damage.
Additionally, during an Israeli raid in the occupied West Bank city of Dura, a Palestinian youth was shot, and emergency medical services were reportedly prevented from reaching the wounded.
