US President Donald Trump has announced the imposition of a 100 percent tariff on imports from China, effective from November. Speaking to the media at the White House, Trump confirmed that his planned meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping has not been canceled.
President Trump expressed confidence that the ceasefire in Gaza would hold and stated that the return of hostages is expected to begin on Monday. During his upcoming visit to Israel, Trump said he will address the parliament.
He also revealed plans to visit Egypt as part of his Middle East tour. Trump emphasized his role in helping to halt eight ongoing conflicts, including tensions between Pakistan and India, where seven aircraft were reportedly shot down. He warned both nuclear-armed neighbors that tariffs would be imposed if hostilities resume.
Furthermore, Trump acknowledged and respected the decision regarding the Nobel Peace Prize and expressed regret over not receiving the award himself.
