Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Condemns Unprovoked Afghan Firing, Vows Strong Response to Protect Pakistan’s Sovereignty

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has strongly condemned the unprovoked firing by Afghan forces on Pakistani territory, emphasizing that while Pakistan has exercised restraint, it will never compromise on its sovereignty and the safety of its citizens. He praised Pakistan’s brave forces for their swift and effective response, making it clear that any provocation will not be tolerated.

In an official statement, Naqvi described Afghanistan’s actions as a blatant violation of international law and a direct threat to regional peace. He criticized the Afghan forces for targeting civilian populations, calling it a clear breach of international norms and humanitarian principles.

The Interior Minister affirmed that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully alert and prepared to respond decisively to any aggression. He stated that Afghanistan is being given a measured and appropriate response, warning that any hostile act will be met with strength and resolve.

Naqvi suggested that the recent escalation by Afghan forces appears to be influenced by Pakistan’s “eternal enemies” who seek to destabilize the region. He accused Afghanistan of playing a dangerous game of fire and blood in collusion with these adversaries, who have always aimed to undermine Pakistan’s stability.

Reaffirming national unity in the face of external aggression, Naqvi said the Pakistani people stand firmly behind their armed forces, describing the nation as a “steel wall” protecting its defenders. He warned that Afghanistan will receive a clear and strong response, similar to the one India faced when it tested Pakistan’s patience.

He cautioned that no country should harbor ill intentions toward Pakistan. Security sources confirmed that Pakistani forces remain on high alert and additional measures are being taken to protect border communities.
