Pakistan has achieved a remarkable milestone at the ongoing World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, by winning two international awards in recognition of its creativity, innovation, and cultural representation.
The first accolade, the Bronze Award in the Exhibition Category, was presented to the Pakistan Pavilion by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) during a special ceremony. The award was received by Muhammad Nasir, Director General of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and in-charge of the pavilion.
The second honor was the Editor’s Choice Award, presented by the global organization Exhibitor Online, which recognizes pavilions that excel in design, creativity, and cultural representation. Pakistan’s pavilion was particularly praised for its imaginative design and rich cultural storytelling.
Despite occupying a compact space of just 53 square meters, the Pakistan Pavilion attracted over 1.7 million visitors, captivating both Japanese audiences and international guests with its architectural elegance and cultural depth.
Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Nasir credited the success to collective team efforts, acknowledging the leadership of Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, Commerce Secretary Jawad Paul, TDAP officials, and the entire pavilion staff for their dedication. He also highlighted the creative contribution of Noor Jehan Bilgrami and the Theme Committee, whose vision played a vital role in shaping a new and dynamic image of Pakistan on the global stage.
This achievement marks a proud moment for Pakistan and showcases the country’s potential to excel at global events when innovation, national spirit, and teamwork come together.
