Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif Commends Pakistan Armed Forces for Successful Operations Against Terrorists in Afghanistan; Pays Tribute to 23 Martyred Security Personnel

Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has lauded the Pakistan Armed Forces for their vigorous and effective response to provocations from Afghanistan. He praised the military for successfully targeting terrorist hideouts located inside Afghanistan, which were involved in attacks on Pakistan. The Prime Minister paid tribute to the 23 security personnel who were martyred during these operations.

In a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office media wing on Sunday, Shahbaz Sharif expressed his condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for their elevated status in the hereafter. He also wished a speedy recovery for the security personnel injured in the anti-terrorism efforts.

The Prime Minister emphasized pride in the professional skills of the Pakistan Armed Forces and made it clear that there will be no compromise on the country’s defense. He warned that every act of provocation would be met with a strong and effective response.

Shahbaz Sharif highlighted that the Pakistani military has always dealt a firm blow to any external aggression. He reassured the nation that it stands united with the security forces. The Prime Minister noted that Pakistan has repeatedly shared intelligence with Afghanistan regarding terrorist elements such as Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan operating from Afghan soil against Pakistan.

He stated that terrorist groups receive support from elements present in Afghanistan and expressed hope that the Afghan government will ensure that its territory is not used for anti-Pakistan terrorist activities.
