Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Senator Rana Sanaullah, stated that the aggression was initiated by neighboring Afghanistan, to which the Pakistan Army responded courageously and effectively. The military successfully targeted terrorist hideouts and destroyed several enemy posts.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, he revealed that terrorist hideouts in Bannu and other areas were operationally linked to the neighboring country, which had been repeatedly warned. He praised the Pakistan Army for being fully prepared to defend national security and for inflicting severe damage on the hidden enemy through decisive action.

Senator Sanaullah commended the bold leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, saying the timely and effective operation made the entire nation proud. He expressed that alongside gratitude to Allah, the nation continues to honor the Pakistan Armed Forces for their bravery.

He appealed to political parties and their leaders to engage with the Prime Minister’s offer for dialogue under the Charter of Stability, emphasizing the need for political and economic strengthening amid current challenges. Specifically addressing the PTI leadership, he urged them to stand with the armed forces and Pakistan, regardless of any political criticism.

Rana Sanaullah called on religious and political groups, as well as protestors, to show solidarity with the martyrs by ending or postponing protests to alleviate public hardship. Noting that protests have turned violent in some instances, he urged the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) to immediately halt their march.

On the Gaza issue, he highlighted that diplomatic efforts led to a ceasefire and stressed that everyone should stand with Pakistan on matters concerning the country. He praised the Prime Minister’s role regarding Gaza and called for national support. Drawing from examples of past religious leaders like Maulana Khadim Hussain Rizvi, who postponed protests for the greater good, he urged current leaders to follow suit.

Addressing concerns about arrests during protests, he said the Prime Minister has taken strict notice and ordered the immediate release of detained women. He remarked that the world currently admires Pakistan’s military and diplomatic policies and stressed that political unity is crucial to focus on internal issues and stabilize the economy.

He concluded by affirming that Pakistan will not allow anyone to use its soil for terrorism or aggression against the country, and that the armed forces remain fully prepared to respond at all times.
