Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in the Egyptian coastal city of Sharm El-Sheikh upon the special invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
At the airport, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was warmly welcomed by Egypt’s Minister for Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Egypt Aamir Shaukat, and senior diplomatic officials from both countries.
According to a statement issued by the PM Office’s Media Wing on Monday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will participate in the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit focused on establishing a ceasefire in Gaza. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar are accompanying the Prime Minister as part of the delegation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will take part in the signing ceremony of the Gaza peace agreement alongside U.S. President Donald Trump, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
