Massive Cleanliness Drive at Rawal Dam: Students, Citizens Join Hands Under CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa’s Initiative

In line with the direction of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, a successful cleanliness campaign was organized around Rawal Dam. Students from schools, colleges and universities voluntarily and enthusiastically participated in this special cleanliness drive, alongside CDA’s formations. Additionally, a large number of volunteers from civil society and citizens also actively took part.

The objective of involving students from schools, colleges and universities, civil society representatives and citizens was to highlight the importance of cleanliness. On the instructions of the Chairman CDA strict legal action has also been initiated against elements responsible for littering around Rawal Dam.

Chairman CDA expressed his appreciation and deep gratitude to the volunteers including students, civil society and citizens who participated in the cleanliness campaign. He said that this drive was launched to create awareness against littering and to promote civic sense among the public. He said these measures aim to protect aquatic life and the natural environment of Islamabad.

It is further highlighted that complaints against those littering can also be registered on the CDA Help Line 1334.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that this initiative will not only help in restoring the natural beauty of Rawal Dam but will also contribute to providing a healthier and cleaner environment for the citizens.
