PM Shehbaz Sharif Praises Muslim Countries, Especially Saudi Arabia, for Role in Gaza Peace Efforts

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has lauded the role of all Muslim countries, particularly Saudi Arabia, for their significant efforts in brokering the Gaza peace agreement and forcefully raising the voice of oppressed Palestinians on international platforms.

According to a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office on Thursday, the remarks came during a meeting with Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Organization, at the Prime Minister House.

Welcoming Dr. Al-Issa to Pakistan, the Prime Minister praised his visionary leadership and appreciated the Muslim World League’s global efforts in promoting the true image of Islam and advocating for the common goals of the Muslim Ummah. He also recognized the League’s key role in fostering interfaith harmony and mutual respect among civilizations.

PM Shehbaz highlighted the successful international conference on education for women and girls in the Muslim world, held this year with the support of the Muslim World League, calling it a positive initiative. He assured full cooperation from Pakistan in organizing similar events in the future.

The Prime Minister also reiterated Pakistan’s long-standing fraternal ties with Saudi Arabia, expressing warm wishes for King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman.

In response, Dr. Al-Issa thanked the Prime Minister for the warm hospitality and reaffirmed the League’s commitment to continued collaboration. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, and the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki.
