Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi visited the T-Chowk Flyover Project on Saturday to assess the ongoing construction work and review progress on the mega infrastructure initiative.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, the minister personally inspected the quality and pace of the development work. He was informed that 100% of the piling, pile caps, and girder casting work has been completed, while 60% of the protective wall structures are also finished.

Expressing satisfaction over the project’s progress, Minister Naqvi directed officials to ensure comprehensive planning for the flyover’s future integration with GT Road expansion, and emphasized that the project must be completed on time and with top-tier quality.

He stated that no compromise would be tolerated on construction standards, and instructed the relevant authorities to include aesthetic landscaping and horticulture around the site. Highlighting the significance of the flyover, he said the project will provide signal-free access from GT Road to the federal capital, greatly easing traffic flow for commuters.

“Our top priority is to facilitate and serve the public,” the interior minister reiterated during the visit. He was given a detailed briefing on various components of the ongoing development. The project is progressing according to the set timeline and is expected to be completed within the stipulated deadline.
