Gaza (Web Desk):
In yet another act of aggression, Israeli forces carried out an airstrike on Gaza, killing 11 members of a single Palestinian family, including seven children and three women, according to Arab media reports. The strike reportedly targeted the family as they were returning home, sparking widespread condemnation.
The Palestinian resistance group Hamas strongly denounced the attack, calling it a blatant violation of the recently brokered ceasefire agreement. Hamas stated that 28 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli shelling and gunfire since the truce was announced.
The airstrike has also been seen as a major setback to the Gaza ceasefire agreement facilitated by international mediators, including former U.S. President Donald Trump, whose proposed peace plan now appears to be under severe strain.
In a related development, Israel has returned 15 additional Palestinian bodies, raising the total number of returned bodies to 135. Gazan doctors have reported that many of the corpses show signs of torture, execution-style injuries, and restraints, including handcuffs and blindfolds.
Moreover, Israel has cut in half the number of aid trucks entering Gaza, reportedly in retaliation over delays in the exchange of hostages’ remains. The move has further strained humanitarian efforts in the war-torn region.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a grave warning, stating that infectious diseases are spiraling out of control in Gaza. Only 13 hospitals remain partially operational, leaving the civilian population dangerously vulnerable amidst the growing health crisis.
