US President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House that arranging a ceasefire between Pakistan and Afghanistan would be “very easy” for him, and reiterated his self‑assessed record of stopping conflicts to save lives.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Trump said clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan are ongoing and insisted his priority is saving lives rather than seeking accolades. “I’m stopping wars to save lives, not for a Nobel Prize,” he said.
Referencing past regional tensions, the president claimed he had prevented a war between Pakistan and India, asserting that his interventions saved “millions of lives.” He also declared that during his tenure he had halted eight wars, adding that no other US president had managed to stop even one.
Mr. Trump repeated his broader theme of conflict‑resolution accomplishments, portraying the United States under his leadership as actively engaged in reducing warfare and regional hostilities through direct action and diplomacy.
