In a significant move to equip Pakistani youth with cutting-edge digital expertise, the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, in collaboration with NAVTTC, UNI Services International, and ITMC China, officially launched the Specialized Digital Skills Training of Trainers (ToT) Programme and the Practice of Skills platform during a ceremony held at the NAVTTC Headquarters on Monday.

The initiative marks a major milestone in Pakistan’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector, aligning with the Prime Minister’s Digital Pakistan Vision, and aims to transform trainers and young professionals into globally competitive digital experts.

Under this initiative, 200 trainers from across all provinces and regions of Pakistan will receive online training in high-demand fields including Artificial Intelligence, E-Commerce, Cross-Border E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Data-Driven Business Analytics, Short Video Production, and Online Store Operations. The online model ensures inclusive and accessible learning, regardless of location.

The course content and digital tools are being provided by ITMC China and its affiliated leading Chinese institutions, guaranteeing international-standard training. Successful participants will receive joint international certification from NAVTTC, ITMC China, and partnering institutions.

A key feature of the project is the expansion of NAVTTC’s ToT framework to include both public and private sector training institutions, recognizing their role in national skill-building and offering them equal access to quality resources.

The Practice of Skills platform will also offer free online learning accounts to youth, freelancers, and trainers across Pakistan, promoting digital literacy and lifelong learning. This initiative strengthens human resource development cooperation between Pakistan and China, and aligns with CPEC’s industrial and technological goals.

Addressing the launch event, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, lauded the collaboration as a transformative step that will create a new generation of digital trainers, who in turn will empower thousands of youth across Pakistan.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening public-private partnerships through NAVTTC and enhancing international cooperation to elevate Pakistan’s TVET system to global standards.

This landmark initiative reflects Pakistan’s firm resolve to empower its youth and workforce with modern digital skills, enabling their effective participation in the global digital economy.

The success of this initiative has been credited to the vision and leadership of NAVTTC Executive Director Mr. Muhammad Aamir Jan and his dedicated team. Special recognition was also given to UNI Services International, ITMC China, and other Chinese collaborators for ensuring international alignment and support.

The project is a strong testament to Pakistan’s commitment to innovation, youth development, and global digital integration.
