Police have registered a case and arrested two suspects following a harrowing incident of alleged gang rape and assault on a woman at a flat in the upscale Centaurus Mall, located in the Margalla area of the federal capital.

According to details, the Margalla Police Station took action based on the victim’s complaint, filing a case concerning the events that transpired in Flat No. 606 of the mall. The arrested suspects will be presented before a court where police will seek their physical remand for further investigation and identification.

The victim, a resident of Meera Jafar Jee 12, is originally from Pakpattan district. She reported to police that she had come to Islamabad ten days ago in search of employment. In her quest for a job, she was using Facebook and contacted an entity called ‘Alizee Call Center’ located in G-9, One National Glasshouse. She was asked to visit the center.

She arrived at the call center at around 4:00 PM, where a receptionist named Usama, alias Ali, asked her to wait. Approximately two hours later, two young men, identified as Faisal Jalal and Syed Hafeezullah, arrived. They interacted with her and provided their phone numbers before she left. The woman subsequently traveled to Lahore for a few days.

Upon her return, on October 21, between 10:00 and 11:00 AM, Faisal Jalal contacted her and instructed her to come to Centaurus Tower. When she arrived at the mall, Syed Hafeezullah came down to receive her and escorted her up to Flat No. 606 inside the mall.

The victim stated that upon entering the flat, the two men engaged in casual conversation with her for about an hour. When she inquired about the job, the situation turned violent. Faisal Jalal forcibly took her into a room and, despite her resistance, sexually assaulted her and subjected her to physical violence. After he left, Syed Hafeezullah was sent in, who also allegedly sexually assaulted her and beat her with slaps, ignoring her pleas to stop.

She further reported that the doors were locked, preventing her cries for help from being heard outside. She managed to escape the flat as soon as she found an opportunity and immediately called “15” to alert the police.

Taking immediate notice of the serious nature of the crime, police registered a case and swiftly arrested the accused. A police official confirmed that the arrests have been made and the suspects will be presented in court to proceed with legal action. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
