Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Visits Egypt to Strengthen Military and Defense Cooperation

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has arrived in Egypt on an official visit, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army. Upon arrival at the Egyptian Ministry of Defense, Field Marshal Munir received a warm welcome and was accorded a guard of honor.

During the visit, he paid tribute by laying flowers at the Memorial of Unknown Soldiers and the tomb of former Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. The ISPR stated that the purpose of the visit is to enhance military and defense cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

Field Marshal Munir held meetings with Egypt’s Minister of Defense and Military Production, General Abdel Maged Saqr, as well as with Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa Fath, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces. Discussions focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security, and bilateral defense cooperation.

Expressing solidarity, Field Marshal Munir said, “Egypt is Pakistan’s brotherly country, and the cooperation between our nations will benefit the people of both countries.” He also highlighted that this collaboration would contribute to regional peace and stability.

Additionally, Field Marshal Munir met with Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar University. The discussions included challenges facing the Muslim Ummah and efforts to counter extremist ideologies. The Field Marshal emphasized the importance of promoting the true teachings of Islam
