KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi Meets Chairman of British Muslim Mayors Council; Praises Overseas Pakistanis for Their Continued Support and Role in National Causes

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi met with Chairman of the British Muslim Mayors Council, Chaudhry Liaqat Ali MBE, at the Governor’s House in Islamabad. According to a statement issued by the Governor’s Office on Wednesday, both leaders discussed matters related to the Pakistani diaspora and their contributions to the country.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said that overseas Pakistanis have always maintained a strong emotional connection with their homeland. He added that the presence of Pakistan-origin members in both the upper and lower houses of the UK Parliament reflects their active and influential political role abroad.

He further stated that the contribution of overseas Pakistanis to the Kashmir cause will be remembered in history with golden words, and their efforts during natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes have always been commendable.

Chaudhry Liaqat Ali MBE appreciated Governor Kundi’s efforts for raising awareness about the Kashmir issue and extended an invitation for him to visit the United Kingdom, which the Governor graciously accepted.
