OGDCL Reports 7% Decline in After-Tax Profit to Rs 38.3 Billion in First Quarter of FY2025

Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has reported a 7 percent year-on-year decline in its after-tax profit for the first quarter of the current fiscal year.

According to the financial results submitted by the company to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), OGDCL posted a net profit of Rs 38.30 billion during the first quarter of FY2025, compared to Rs 41.02 billion in the same period last year.

The company’s earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter stood at Rs 8.91, down from Rs 9.54 in the corresponding period of the previous year. In the last quarter of the previous fiscal year (April–June 2025), OGDCL had earned a net profit of Rs 40.29 billion with an EPS of Rs 9.37.

The report further stated that during the first quarter of FY2025, OGDCL paid Rs 23.67 billion in taxes, compared to Rs 15.91 billion in the last quarter of the previous fiscal year.
